To ensure faster, more active, and more reliable communication within the department, we use a Google Group. In short, this group works as follows: when you, a friend, or a professor sends a message to the group’s email address, that message is forwarded to all members at the same time. This group is intended solely for use by our department’s students (including exchange students) and faculty members; therefore, please make sure to include YOUR FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, and STUDENT ID NUMBER in the “Reason for Joining” field when you request to join. Requests that do not include a student ID number will not be approved!

This group is open only to students in our department (including exchange students) and faculty members. Any message you send is distributed to all users; therefore, when sending a message, please follow proper etiquette and be sure to include your first and last name, class, or the name of your exchange program and your student ID number, and clearly state who you are addressing. This way, you can ensure effective communication and that your message reaches the right person, while also avoiding any disrespect toward your older professors.
Another important point is to join the group on time. Since this group will be used to share important information with you, we recommend that you join the group no later than the end of the year in which you were admitted to the program. For example, if you enrolled in 2019, you must join the group by the end of December 2019. Otherwise, your group membership will not be automatically approved, and you will need to apply in person at Room B-122 by submitting a written request, which will cause delays in the process. Please take note!
